These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at www.chaltusalon.com and your appointments at Chaltu's Salon ("Salon," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 1524 S State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115. By booking an appointment or using this website, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Appointments & Booking

All appointment requests submitted through our website are subject to availability and confirmation by the Salon. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation message from us via email or phone.

When booking online, you will be asked to provide your name, contact information, preferred service, date, and time. Please ensure all information is accurate — incorrect contact details may result in a missed confirmation.

2. Deposit Policy

A non-refundable $30 deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service at the time of your appointment.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. To respect our stylists' time and allow other clients to book, we ask that you:

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit the deposit. Repeated late cancellations may result in a requirement for full prepayment on future bookings.

4. No-Show Policy

If you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment and have not contacted us in advance, it will be considered a no-show. The deposit will be forfeited and your appointment will not be rescheduled without a new deposit. Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.

5. Late Arrivals

We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your service depending on the stylist's schedule. In such cases, the deposit may be forfeited. Please call ahead if you are running late.

6. Service Pricing

All prices listed on our website are starting prices. The final price for your service will be confirmed during your appointment based on hair length, density, complexity, and the specific style requested. You will be informed of any price adjustment before service begins.

We reserve the right to update pricing at any time. Current pricing is available on our website and in the salon.

7. Service Results

Hair care results vary depending on individual hair type, condition, texture, and history of chemical treatments. While we strive to deliver the best results possible, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. If you have concerns about a service, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment and we will work to address them.

We are not responsible for results affected by undisclosed hair history, medical conditions, or at-home treatments applied after your visit.

8. Right to Refuse Service

Chaltu's Salon reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any client for reasons including but not limited to: inappropriate conduct, scalp conditions that may contraindicate a service, or failure to comply with salon policies. In such cases, any deposit paid may be refunded at our discretion.

9. Minors

Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or have written parental consent on file, before receiving services. The parent or guardian is responsible for payment.

10. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its underlying systems.

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Chaltu's Salon and may not be reproduced without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chaltu's Salon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
